Hello !!
This week has been long but really good. We
have seen a lot of miracles. Monday for p-day we got to play ultimate Frisbee
which is one of my favorites. We were really sore the next day but it was
completely worth it.
On Tuesday, We went around to all the sisters
that we will have exchanges with and meet them. We also wanted them to know who
we were so they could know who they were talking to on the phone! We have been
so busy with appointments with some less-actives and investigators. It has been
wonderful. The work has really picked up in this area and it has been great! I
love teaching the Gospel each day. It just brings so much joy and happiness.
One of our investigators that had a baptismal
date for August 31st, won't be getting baptized right away. He flat out refused
to live the word of wisdom but said maybe in the future. That was kind of sad
to hear but some day, he will. In the mean time we will still teach him and
allow the gospel to change him.
We found 2 new investigators
this week that seem pretty promising and one of them already came to church
with us yesterday! She really enjoyed it and it was cool to have here there.
One of the biggest miracles that we saw this week came from
meeting our goals. Every Thursday we have a weekly planning session that lasts
for about 5 hours and we plan out the next 10 days and it is amazing! It is a very spiritual experience because you
really feel the Lord guiding you to where you need to be and during that
planning we set goals for how many people we will have a church, how many new
investigators, etc. Well we have had the goal for 12 people at church for about
4 weeks now and we normally get about 5 to 6 people there! BUT yesterday, we
meet our goal !! 12 people came to
church. 6 were from the same family but
it was amazing to see that the Lord blessed us as we were striving to reach
that goal. And the coolest thing, is that none of them sat by us. haha I know
that sounds funny but they were all sitting by members which is exactly what
needs to happen for them to make friends. Missionaries come and go but members
stay. It was just awesome! And the Less-active families we are working with
came as well. It was a full house and it was awesome to be a part of that.
We started exchanges
again on Friday and I always forget how much I love them until we start them up
again. It is a lot of fun and the sisters are just amazing. They are such good
teachers and have this amazing desire to serve the Lord and be here. Sometime
that I have really noticed, is that all
the new missionaries coming out are much more prepared spiritually than before
and that is making a huge difference for them in the mission field. It is so
exciting to be a part of this time in the history of the church when the earth
is flooded with missionaries! It is a big trust from the Lord for him to allow
us to be a part of his work.
Heavenly Father really does love his children. He is the
creator of worlds and the universe, yet he loves each of us with a perfect love
that is eternally and takes the time to listen to each of our prayers and
responds to each of them. I can seriously say that Heavenly Father and Jesus
Christ are some of my best friends because they know and understand me and what
I need. I am so grateful for this Gospel and the knowledge that we have. We are
so blessed to be a part of Christ's restored Church. It is a wonderful time to
be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love you and
miss you! All my love, Sister Haws
